EDNA AMBRYM | 'There's no straight roads in life today, (all curves)' | Etching printEdna comes from the Gunggandji tribe in Yarrabah on her mothers side and is Eastern Kuku Yalanji on her fathers side. Her language name is Wangullay. Born in Cairns in 1967 and raised in Yarrabah, Ednas art reflects some of the stories she has heard during her childhood in Yarrie (Yarrabah) with family and friends. Edna has a strong sense of colour and design and is an accomplished artist; her paintings appear in several exhibitions and galleries.
