Description

New York Dolls - Too Much Too SoonThe New York Dolls' first album expanded their cult from Manhattan to the rest of hard core, hard rock America. As a result, Too Much Too Soon is less specifically rooted in Manhattan, though its bluster and swagger are no less urban. Rather than the specifically New York City "Subway Train" of their first LP, there's "Babylon," the town on Long Island, the Philadelphia soul of "There's Gonna Be a Showdown," and the Chinese accents of "Bad Detective."

Nothing but synthetic positivity as both the title track and "Drumm" stride with an almost marching feel before "Where Time Sits Still" plunges much deeper into moody new romantic cinematics

but ultimately led no where

” Frazer says

while still connecting with the energy and originality of the classics

and a certain blue-eyed soul sadness

Silver Apples was released in 1968 and still remains an innovative and revolutionary album

El Gran Cacique

his blunt blues lines (with debut performances of Bluehawk and Round Lights)

The Deepest Blue - Pretty Little Thing

It makes few concessions to the larger market - every potential hook seemed spiked with the band's usual rough take- it-or- leave- it stance - though the integration of Brix Smith into the band added a melodic twist

The album goes from progressive rock

as evidenced by the guest list at 'Salvador Dali's Garden Party'
