Vintage Lemaire Fabt Opera Glasses — Mother of PearlFrench opera glasses by Lemaire of Paris, made around the turn of the twentieth century. The barrels are clad in white mother of pearl, cut into tapering panels with the soft, milky iridescence the maker was known for. Lemaire was the most prolific of the Parisian opera glass houses, and signed pieces like this one set the standard others were measured against. The frame, eyecup rings, and trim are a silvered metal, cooler in tone than the gilt brass
