Description

Leather/Wicker Ski Basket from Early 1960sThose old poles starting to look a little shabby? Did the dog feast on the vintage baskets? Well, we have a solution. This single wicker leather replacement ski basket was acquired in Norway this spring, and has all the necessary parts to make your old poles feel young again. Approximately 12 13cm in diameter, depending on where you measure.

So maybe it's more than the bindings

As an aside

but by then ski makers had the process figured out

while the other is a "seersucker" lamination technique that showed up in Järvinen skis from time-to-time

but if you reach out

these vintage ski poles

just turn and walk away

This particular pair is nearly identical to the type that legend Harald Grønnigen would have guided to multiple Olympic and World Championship medals in the early to mid 1960s (see last pic)

This is a full can of Swix pine tar base sealant for wood skis

Eggen skis were manufactured from the late 60s until the early 80s at the Engerdal Skifabrikk in east-central Norway

in areas where it doesn't snow that much anymore

These skis are so good-looking that they have more attitude than a 15-year-old
